Why Upgrade?
Having a problem with a slow computer? Thinking of buying a new one? Why pay all that money for a new computer with all the bells and whistles when you can have your old one rebuilt. Chances are a simple upgrade will speed up your computer.
You can upgrade your PC with a larger hard drive; a faster modem; add USB; replace your old CD-ROM with a CD Writer and DVD; add more memory; upgrade your graphics card; or, update your BIOS.
Even A New Computer Needs To Be Updated? Why? Because Microsoft released security updates and made changes after your computer was shipped. At a minimum your computer probably needs
close to 100 MB of updates!
And don't forget about your operating
system. You should update to Windows XP because on
June 30, 2006 Microsoft stopped Extended Support for Windows 98, Windows 98
Second Edition, and Windows Me. Microsoft retired public and technical
support, including security updates, on that date.
Also, if you already have Windows XP you should update to
Service Pack 2
because Microsoft stopped support for Service Pack 1 on October 10, 2006.
For information concerning upgrading your computer and other topics I encourage you to read the
Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ )

Emergency Repairs
If you use your computer in an office or a home office
then it is critical that it provides you with continuous service. A computer
that is broken down often stops all office functions, especially if it
is the only computer in the office. Keep it running smoothly by having
routine maintenance done at regular intervals. By appointment only, I will update your computer drivers, defrag
your hard drive, update your antivirus definitions (if you have an antivirus
program), and have the computer back in your office within 24 hours.
Old
Computers
If your computer was built after 1996 the chances are pretty good that it can be updated or upgraded to provide you with a faster and more reliable computer.
Some computers only require additional RAM
(memory) while others might also require a larger hard drive and a faster CD ROM. Still others might require all those items and a graphics card.
