You should update to Windows XP
because on
June 30, 2006 Microsoft stopped Extended Support for Windows 98, Windows 98
Second Edition, and Windows Me. Microsoft retired public and technical
support, including security updates on that date.
If you already have Windows XP you should update to
Service Pack 2
because Microsoft will stop support for Service Pack 1 on October 10, 2006.
